The purpose of this study was to investigate eVisa applications. eVisa is a service that falls under eTourism, whose growing use can be attributed to its ability to simplify the process of obtaining a visa. The objectives of this study were twofold: to explore the eVisa experience of tourists who have previously visited Turkey by using the service and to analyse the perceptions of stakeholders who have contributed to eVisa. the Turkish government launched an easy online visa system that issues an e-Visa instead of the old “sticker visa”. Once the information and payment is submitted, the visa is emailed to the traveler, and must be downloaded and printed out. The e-Visa should be shown to airport and customs officials in Turkey and kept safe for the duration of the stay. The e-Visa means no more going to local embassies or waiting in line at the airport to obtain a visa. eVisa which is currently open to citizens of a select group of countries. This eVisa is relatively easy to obtain as the entire process takes place online without the need to visit a local Omani embassy or consulate. Travelers can complete the online application, pay the processing fee and have the Oman eVisa delivered to them via email all in a matter of days. It also cuts down on the time that travelers had to spend getting screened at the airport upon arrival by eliminating the requirement to do so altogether. Instead, travelers can be pre-screened for any security risks when they apply for the Oman eVisa leading to faster and more convenient arrival experiences.
